Author Lecture-Betty Cotter

Betty J. Cotter, URI lecturer, is the former editor of the South County Independent and the Narragansett Times. The author of four history books for Arcadia Publishing, she also wrote histories of South County Hospital and Theatre-by- the-Sea that were published in local newspapers. She teaches journalism at the University of Rhode Island and holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College. In 2021 she was inducted into the R.I. Journalism Hall of Fame.

We will have a Pop-up bookstore at this event. Lectures are free and open to the public and will be held at 7PM at SK High School, 215 Columbia Street, unless noted.
